Artist Statement
Water Lilly
If you are lucky to find a shoreline covered with Water Lily’s, you could be in for a real show. You find them early in the morning still closed and throughout the day they open to be beautiful flowers. To see their elegance reflected in the water and the motion of the pads on the surface of the water is to see one of nature’s wonders.
On a windy day, the lily pads start to rise, and you see the beautiful colors of the lily pads underside, which is normally laying on top of the water. I sit back, relax, and with camera ready wait for the show to begin. At night, they once again close to restart the show the following day. Hours upon hours of viewing, one of nature’s Photographic Wonders.
